We are thrilled to share our beautiful Bay Area with you! Below are some ideas that we recommend considering. Please keep in mind that some of the items on our list may need advance planning, popular destinations and tickets do sell out.
Golden Gate Park

Believe it or not, our SF park is larger than Central Park in NYC. The park is a great place to picnic and chill, rent a paddle boat at Blue Heron Lake, or you can rent and ride bikes throughout the park (make sure to stop by and see the bison!).
The Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, Botanical Gardens, and the California Academy of Sciences are great to visit as well.
If you are an art enthusiast and up for an interesting building, the de Young Museum may be a good stop for you if you visit the park.
Ferry Building

Visit the Ferry Building Marketplace
This spectacular building offers incredible food and an outstanding farmer’s market on Saturday mornings. You can also catch the ferry from here to Sausalito, Tiburon, or Larkspur for a beautiful outing on the bay.
Land’s End

If you are looking for a spectacular hike in SF, this is it!
The Presidio

Walk Crissy Field Beach to Fort Point right below the Golden Gate Bridge. Make sure to go to the new Tunnel Tops area where you can just enjoy the view or grab coffee/lunch at Il Parco.
You can also enjoy one of the numerous great restaurants inside the Presidio, or choose from one of the many food carts that are stationed at the bottom of the parade ground during daytime hours.
Bikes can be rented at Sports Basement Presidio, you can plan a ride up the hill and over the Golden Gate Bridge.
Oakland & Berkeley Hills Hiking

Where to Hike in Oakland | Take a Hike in Berkeley
Just moments from where we will celebrate our wedding there are beautiful hills to hike and find spectacular views. Pack a picnic and explore! If it is foggy don’t let that fool you, remember your sunscreen!
Museums

Neighborhoods to Explore
If you don’t want to sightsee and prefer a low key hang out vibe one of these neighborhoods may be your spot.
San Francisco — The Mission, North Beach, Chinatown, The Marina, Fillmore Street/Japantown
Oakland/Berkeley — Rockridge, Elmwood, Montclair Village, North Shattuck/Gourmet Ghetto, University of California at Berkeley
Other Ideas & Activities

SF Giants — They are in town the weekend of our wedding, you could catch a game Friday night or Sunday afternoon. If you don’t want to splurge on tickets, behind the right-field arcade which is reachable from the boardwalk next to the bay there is a section where fans can line up, staff hand out wristbands for 3-inning viewing and rotate as needed.
SF City Guides — Want a free tour while you are in SF? This is a great organization that has so many fun options. Highly recommended! If you like what you experienced make a donation.
Waymo — You are in the land of technology, why not give this a try?
